Maintenance of public area
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7292005.
I have recently checked my house deeds. There is an area from the public steps onto Hackwood Park and my boundary which has never been maintained by the NCC. Since my husband died I have been paying gardeners to maintain this public area, including the steps. As a single person I am no longer prepared to do this and want NCC to take responsibility for this area…the grass cutting and also the maintenance of the roadside hedges. I thank you in advance.

The grass area has been cut but the public pavement still needs sweeping. There is a lot of fallen debris from the trees.

The grass cutting programme in currently underway. We aim to cut amenity grass on a fortnightly cycle during the cutting season however this will depend on weather conditions etc. This request will be assessed by the team and actioned where necessary. Thank you.
