New road markings

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7273719.

The parking bays have been marked out on east side st Wilfrids Road, thank you- however at the top the spaces are very large, not the same size as the other spaces , there’s space for a bus in each. Can you mark them so a car isn’t forced to be parked over the 2 spaces? ///roaring.ulterior.wordplay

  • Thanks for your message. The bays have been marked out to the standard length of 6 metres. In the remaining space, we were unable to achieve this minimum length, so larger bays were left in place. Reducing the size of the bays could lead to problems as they would be below the standard size and could be difficult for vehicles to manouvre in and out.
