Garden waste being dumped on roadside verge

Reported via desktop in the Fly-tipping category anonymously at 19:36, Sat 22 February 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7172735.

Garden waste (leaves, hedge and tree prunings, etc.) has been dumped over the end garden wall of this cottage, onto the roadside verge, for many months (years?). It has accumulated to such an extent that it is falling into the road. The verge is a steep bank at this point and the accumulated pile of debris is so unstable that there is an imminent risk that a large amount will fall into the road. This would be a danger to traffic and/or pedestrians on this narrow single-track road. Recently, Other households in this row of cottages have started to dispose of their garden waste in the same way onto this bank.
