Variable Speed Limit unnecessarily on

Reported via mobile in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 08:55, Saturday 18 January 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6997319.

The 40/50 MPH Signs which warn of queues on the A189 Southbound towards moor farm roundabout are often on when there is no traffic, including at the early hours of the morning. This is unnecessarily slowing down traffic and also causing cars to brake heavily when the approach them for no reason, as well as increasing journey times. This has been an issue for some months now.
