Trees too big

Reported via mobile in the Trees damaging private property category anonymously at 14:58, Thu 16 January 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6990177.

I am concerned the trees might come down on my property, they are also making a mess with leaves and bird droppings etc, and restricted sunlight. I would appreciate if these could be trimmed down to a more acceptable height please, one of the trees is actually in the car park at the back of the school beside Morpeth County Hall but the other two I'm not sure about. Many thanks

  • Nothing is being done I am worried about the trees falling down on my bungow during strong winds, also bird poo is very messy and it obstructs light.

  • I have contacted the owner but in the process of selling and I have been in contact with the potential new buyer. Unfortunately the mess in my garden is becoming a health risk and I'm worried if the trees come down of the damage/safety to myself my husband and property. I would be great if an actual person could contact me instead of generic messages sent. Thank you

  • I have spoken to the owner's son he said he was waiting for information from Northumberland CC. We are very concerned with bad weather forecasted over the next couple of days. I would like someone to respond to me if nothing else but to prove someone actually reads my replies.

  • I have passed on your information to the new officer who is in charge of looking after the car park areas trees. He is new in post but he will be inspecting the trees at the rear of the property. I have informed him of our conversation a few weeks ago. I will close the fix my street as he is not on the system so I can not pass this on via this system. But I have emailed him all of the relevant information.

    Thank you
