Reported via desktop in the Mud on Road category anonymously at 19:17, Wed 15 January 2025
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6986141.
Police action required
Concerning the farm at: Wellhouse Farm Newton, Stocksfield NE43 7UY
Please can you prosecute the following farmer under the Road Traffic Act and Highways Act 1980 for continuing to deposit large amounts of mud across the road and making the road unsafe for other road users in and around the areas of Stelling, Newton and Newton Hall.
The farmer has recently been destroying long lengths of the roadside verge covering the wiole road in mud making it very difficult for cars to stop due to skid risk especially in the Newton Hall areas and along sections to the A69 near South Lodge and Shaw House.
The same farmer has been making large sections of the road between Newton and Stelling dangerous for other road user for over 2 years now and I am very concerned for the safety of all road users in this area resulting from these dangerous actions.
The results of the actions of this one farmer are making the local roads extremely dangerous.
