A severe dip in the road

Over the last few years the road has sunk causing a severe dip in the road this problem has been getting progressively worse over the years and is now at a stage where you have to drive in the middle of the road to avoid it if you have to go over it it could cause damage to a vehicle if not worse as it isn’t easily visible and with it being a national speed road the potential for loss of control is there the what three words location is ///appear.quit.overdrive

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
