Trimming a tree that is not causing a problem

Reported via desktop in the Trees in housing estates category anonymously at 12:50, Fri 6 December 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6827488.

Moderated by Northumberland County Council at 11:58, Mon 9 December 2024

Preferential treatment been given to people owning expensive houses/postcodes. I don't think this pollarded tree was an urgent issue for the councils attention! No damage to property, footpath or highway.

  • Trees in this area are re-pollarded every 3 years due to them being pollarded a number of years ago. Once trees are pollarded this is a necessary maintenance requirement as new growth is liable to split and fail if left too long.
