Extremely icy footpath/road

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6764839.

South Avenue is the main footpath/road for children attending King Edwin Primary School. Pupils from JCSC also use this route. There is no footpath, the road is the footpath. The road is sheet ice tonight and children/pupils have struggled to stay upright. Will be worse tomorrow morning after severe overnight frost. When it was a Middle school the caretakers often gritted the road to make access safe for pupils and children
