Verge overgrown

Reported via iOS by Callum Burns at 15:30, Thu 31 October 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6680813.

I posted this report last week and it was rejected under the premise the owner could not be contacted, and I wanted to clarify this with photos. The verge itself is overgrown, rather than being overgrown from the bordering property. As the photos show, the property owner keeps the verge clear to the edge of their land, but the verge is immediately overgrown as it moves to roadway, forcing pedestrians accessing the footpath a little further off the verge and directly onto the road. A hedge cutter or manual team would be able to clear this verge easily and make it much safer to walk.
