Sycamore tree root damage

Reported via mobile in the Trees damaging private property category by Robert Anthony Appleby at 18:32, Mon 7 October 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6563039.

Hi,im really concerned about the size of the trees outside my property in Romsey Close in Cramlington, the trees in question are on the grass verge at Cumbrian Road Ive been researching the root systems for said trees (sycamore)and as far as I can fathom, the root systems will now be a problem for my house and the drainage system, as it happens we have cracks appearing in the wall facing the trees,I want someone to come out and look at these trees and the wall of my house please, because if it is a problem, Which I believe it is,I want it rectified I have been complaining about these trees for a while now,but no one seems interested, the trees have been allowed to get far too big to be near property,I don't honestly know why such trees were planted close to houses in the first place Regards Tony
