Roadworks on wansbeck road and traffic

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6440940.

Due to the roadworks on wansbeck Road, they have now opened the road with traffic lights each end. Although it stats residents only you can imagine the traffic!!! getting tooted at for trying to get in your own driveway, two directions of traffic on a one way system it's not acceptable. The work was supposed to last 2 weeks, I understand there are problems but can the road not remain partially closed? This is becoming quite a problem for access for residents, food delivery.
