Drains from Overdone down through Ovington all blocked

This problem was subject of a formal complaint to the Chief Executive last October. NOTHING has been done. A full map of blocked drains was supplied.

- Where pedestrians are having to walk off the pavement into the road due to a blocked drain

- Where surface water from the highway is entering business premises
- Where surface water from the highway is entering private property
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at a bus stop
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at pedestrian crossings

No action has been taken to clear the drains from Overdene down hill, through Ovington. many drains are blocked with debris and some are so overgrown that you can't even see them It is essential that this is done before winter. Risk of flooding and increased risk of surface water freezing

Drains in the village have been cleared but not by the side of the road from Overdone to Ovington, so there is still a river running past the turn to The Green bringing down debris which will block the village drains again.
