County Council tree branches overhanging garden
Reported via mobile in the Trees damaging private property category anonymously at 16:06, Mon 17 June 2024
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6118390.
Branches from large sycamore tree in County Hall visitor car park overhanging my garden (27 Southgate Mews.) Part cut back by council a few years ago but now overhanging again - leaf drop blocks garage gutters and sticky sap makes a mess of shed roof and garden. Also restricts light. Needs cutting well back please.

Good morning, an application to our planning office is being prepared to carry out pruning works on a number of trees that are over hanging boundary gardens. This normally takes 6 weeks to process. Once permission has been granted by the planning department, work for the pruning will be arranged.
Alternatively if you do not want to wait for the tree team, it is you legal right to remove overhanging branches back to your boundary line. But a planning application would still need to be carried out .
