PRoW obstructed by grown in vegetation and trees

Reported via desktop in the Trees affecting highways or pavements category anonymously at 08:56, Mon 17 June 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6115316.

PRoW 524/029 is currently difficult to pass through the length identified on the map. This is due to grown in vegetation and trees. An able bodied individual is required to stoop in order to pass along the PRoW at this point.. The issue has been present since the start of spring when the vegetation began to grow out.

  • An update on this issue would be appreciated. Has the landowner been contacted? The responsibilities of the landowner are made clear here https://www.gov.uk/ guidance/ public-rights-of-way-landowner-responsibilities "make sure vegetation does not encroach onto the route from the sides or above, bearing in mind the different clearances needed for users of different types of route, for example by horse riders"
