Getting more dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Surface Condition category anonymously at 10:07, Sun 14 April 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5849310.

Needs a light controlled junction and crossing. Recent crash involved a council van!

Drop speed limit to 30mph for the short section past the village junction Install light system with pedestrian crossing like one at Beacon Hill Excuses around road speed being too high to slow for lights not acceptable, as you can simply change the limit. If vehicles were doing 40mph as per limit, they would have more than enough time to stop. Since when could you not have ligh5s on a 40mph road?

Please just get this sorted. There is going to be a serious accident in this road before too long.
