  • Not fixed yet but then it is NCC we are talking about, no money or resources for the north of the county!

  • Been lifted up now but is facing wrong way! Why would someone do that!

  • State changed to: In progress

Updated by Northumberland County Council at 09:02, Tue 16 April 2024

  • Was told ‘it’s being inspected’ that was a month ago, went past today and it’s still pointing the wrong way!

  • The sign is still on the ground but someone has pointed it in the correct direction, may have been the council as they were ‘investigating’ but there again if they looked at why wouldn’t they fix it properly!

  • Ditto last report. NCC obviously feels that visitors to the county don’t need to be shown which way to go and are comfortable with signs sitting on the ground likewise the send out a team to fix one sign but leave others in the vicinity that need as much repair when the team could do these as well, it doesn’t take a whole day to repair one sign.

  • Ditto last report, how long does it take to log a sign and do up the clamps! I past it last night and it is sitting on the floor along side new road works signage for a job being done shortly, will they fix it when that job is completed or are we the people going to have to do it ourselves!

  • Still the same, added a photo of it

  • Still the same, assuming the council do not regard signage as important to road users!

  • Situation is still the same, the sign is sitting at ground level! It’s been like it for months now if not longer!

  • Depends on what is meant by ‘fixed’, the sign is not where it should be but it is visible and pointing in the correct direction, if one looks to the ground! As this is a 30mph zone and on a roundabout it ‘should’ be ok! But as it not far to the national speed limit signs and they are visible from here many drivers will go faster than they should reducing the time to see the sign!
