Supporting wall for road/crash barrier is collapsing

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5420611.

Underneath the roadway/crash barrier at this location the supporting wall has bulged and collapsed in the last two weeks. The earth around the concrete supports of the crash barrier has subsided.

  • The whole section of supporting wall has now collapsed meaning from top to bottom the wall has come away

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team.
