Double yellow lines.

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 14:56, Sat 23 December 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5351578.

The double yellow lines on both sides of the road outside the reading room obviously need to be refurbished as some car drivers cannot see them. The drivers of said cars park there when attending the reading room or the pub as it saves them walking and have no respect for other drivers who need to enter or exit the junction in the village.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 15:49, Saturday 20 January 2024

  • Cars are still constantly parking on double yellow lines and causing a bottle neck at the junction. Yes the yellow lines are faded but the driver of the car obviously does not know the highway rules of not parking within 32 feet of a junction.

  • What a waste of time you lot are, is it even worth the trouble reporting something that could cause an accident at this junction?. Five months now since the first report and all I have received is automated emails asking if the problem has been fixed. No the problem is still causing a problem at this junction and the persistent offender is still parking his car directly on the faded double yellow lines and causing an obstruction to traffic entering and exiting the village. I did say I would start publishing reg numbers if this persisted so here you go HY69 JFZ
