No drainage gully so flooding from road flowing to where there is an overgrown gully plus two residential gardens
Reported via desktop in the Blocked - Flooding of Private Property category anonymously at 11:37, Fri 8 December 2023
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5295968.
There are no drains on this part of the road for surface rainwater to flow into. Where the road is flooded as seen on the photograph there is no drainage gully leading to all excess water flowing into the gardens of numbers 9 and 11 (as seen on the second photograph). The drainage gully by these houses is also overgrown and could do with a clear out.

For the second time in a week our garden, along with our neighbour’s garden, have been flooded with water from Station Road. There is no drainage gully which means the water is flowing into our gardens. There are drainage ditches in the grass verges but these have not been maintained and are overgrown. We feel this is going to be a regular problem until a drainage gully is installed.
