Embankment preventing runoff of floodwater

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:04, Mon 20 November 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5231591.

An embankment has been constructed that means water builds up on the roadway. What is effectively a dam, is preventing runoff from leaving the roadway. This makes it impossible for pedestrians to get through without wading through 15 - 30cm of water. This has been reported before, but the recent creation of the embankment on the north side of the corner has meant a constant obstruction since at least Nov 6th 2023. Photos attached are from 18th Nov as well as 6th Nov 2023. The solution would appear to be remove the embankment or part of and allow the water to drain naturally into the field on the north side of the road.
