Persistent flooding of carriageway

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 17:51, Sunday 19 November 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5230007.

This problem has persisted over many years. These photos were taken after there had been no rainfall for more than 24hrs. Ditches on the southern side of the carriageway at this field entrance do not drain and water spills across the road, hiding numerous potholes (of the kind shown in the third picture) beneath the surface. This lane is a popular cycle route and serves local residents as well as being on a school bus route. The road is not gritted regularly in winter and this location turns to sheet ice.
