Spinning roadsign on corner of 4 roads

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5219089.

The sign on this corner is frequently blown around to face the wrong direction by the wind. This sends cars up the minor farm road rather than to Wooler. Its just loose in its sleeve in the ground and needs securing. The actual 'pointers' are secure on the signpost itself. The whole thing rotates in the wind. The minor farm road is in a very poor state and you might find you get claims of damage to cars if you dont fix the sign quickly. I'll report this pothole issue separately. Thanks for your help.

  • This is still not fixed and therefore the sign regularly sends heavy traffic up the unsuitable and unmaintained council road - which I've reported separately. If its not fixed soon it'll result in lots of claims for burst tyres because the minor road is horrendous for potholes.
