Blocked drainage

Reported via desktop in the Blocked - Flooding of Road/Path category anonymously at 10:19, Mon 13 November 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5204212.

Large puddles of water building up during rain and flooding up my driveway due to blocked drains / gullies. This has been a long-standing issue which seems to be getting worse. As a result of the standing water issue the pavement surface at the entrance of driveways to no 28 and no 30 is breaking up and disbonding, further degradation to the pavement is caused by a significant number of vehicles performing three point turns

  • It is unclear if this has been resolved. A Gully truck did arrive but were unable to clear a blockage due to running out of water and I was told they would return. I have not noticed any return visit, and there is still considerable pooling of water following heavy rainfall events. Water floods from the road across the pavement and into my driveway. Road and pavement surface is uneven and breaking up due to water and excessive turning of vehicles mainly from staff and visitors to the grange rest home. A further review and report of both drainage, and road/ pavement surface would be appreciated. Please do not hesitate to get in touch for further informatio

  • There is still standing water at the entrance to my driveway following heavy rain. Standing water, encroaches onto the pavement and is contributing to the breakdown of the surface.
