Cracked and sunken slabs

Reported via desktop in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 09:28, Wed 1 November 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5160565.

At the entrance to my driveway is a public footpath. There are a few slabs that are cracked, uneven and regularly flood. They are a trip hazard and the flooding is an issue for people walking into the driveway to access the property.

  • The paths along Abbey Meadows are terrible in general. They renewed the paths at the top of the street with tarmac. Surely it would have been more sensible to start at the bottom of Abbey Meadows near the Wansbeck pub. These paths have a much higher footfall, especially with children going too and from school.
