Road coverd in mud soup like consistency. Lumps of stone in mud

Reported via mobile in the Mud on Road category anonymously at 15:02, Thu 26 October 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5140898.

Beacon lane, building site either side. (Vehicle restricted section) Construction traffic crosses Beacon lane. Last week granite chippings were across the road 3" in size. The road is now covered in liquid mud. While cycling down the lane today I hit something on the road surface that was not visible due to the mud on the road. This was quite unpleasant nearly resulting in falling off. Beacon lane is the only public access which is still open to the public due to the construction site. The road is flooded in places the road bed has been damaged by the construction work and then been back filled with chippings in two areas. As this a public road that is used for walking and cycling and not exclusively for the access for the building site the damage needs to be repaired and kept in a condition that is accessible to the public. I am hoping that the responsibility falls on the construction company.
