Trees snapped in storm

Reported via desktop in the Trees damaging private property category anonymously at 13:10, Mon 23 October 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5127903.

Moderated by Northumberland County Council at 08:57, Tue 24 October 2023

The tree on public land directly behind my back garden has snapped during Fridays strong winds, as per the picture attached. This is currently perched on my fence and I am unable to remove.

I am also worried the part of the tree that remains standing will not withstand any further strong winds and request it's removal if possible please? I am worried this may not only damage my property but may also be a public safety issue as children often play in the vicinity.

Could I also request some of the lower branches on the larger tree behind this are trimmed? This tree stops the sun from getting to my garden and I have found the grass is constantly muddy.

Your help is much appreciated.
