Road in desperate need of sweeping

Reported via mobile in the Mud on Road category anonymously at 11:13, Mon 18 September 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5005135.

Painshawfield Road is in desperate need of having roads cleaned from entrance to Baliol Road to 9 Painshawfield (probably to crossroads with Apperley Road)

In particular the drain opposite the grit box is blocked which is causing flooding

Also further along outside 17 Painshawfield Road the road needs cleaning because a total Mess. It floods and pools when pit rains, and the debris is left in the road. Would be preferable if the actual flooding problem could be fixed, but in meantime Road needs cleaning

  • Road sweeper did turn up last week but failed to clean road on right hand side going down from Baliol Road to Painshawfield Road. There is about 75 metres that desperately needs doing. Will be interesting to see if NCC turn up after this comment.
