Drainage/flooding

Reported via desktop in the Surface Condition category anonymously at 07:15, Sun 17 September 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5001523.

The pavement running eastbound from anick view to hillside road has subsided below the level of the grass verge in several places. This means that in periods of rain deep muddy puddles quickly form. All the crossing points can be under 2-3 inches of water when it rains. You can’t avoid the puddles by walking on the verge as the road drains are blocked and you get splashed by stinking water. There is a near permenant puddle by the exchange box opposite Hillside road. The puddles alongside anick view are particularly annoying as there are no street lamps on that side of the road. There are also some puddles along the stretch opposite Woodland Rise where again there is no street lighting.
