Severely broken road

Reported via mobile in the Surface Condition (Road) category anonymously at 19:26, Mon 28 August 2023

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4934604.

The road directly outside my house is cracked and dips when driven on, I’m worried this is going to cause damage to my tyres as I reverse directly onto it from my driveway. The concrete slab is broken and makes a very loud noise when driven over. I have lived here only a month but neighbours have said the road has been like this for years! Please please can we have a new road like the brockwell road and also high pit road. Having just moved to Nelson village I feel like this is the forgotten village of Cramlington with the state of the roads through it.

  • We have been out to have a look at this and scheduled a road closure to fix this for mid september, unfortunately the waiting time for a road closure is 12 weeks.

We will send a team in ASAP to make a temporary fix and keep it monitored until the scheduled works take place.
