Parking of commercial vehicles on public footpath

The footpath has become a parking area for commercial vehicles and obstructing the use of the footpath by vulnerable pedestrians.

  • This problem remains, cars parked on the public footpath making it impossible for anyone on a mobility scooter or pushing a pram to navigate and they are having to go onto a busy road to walk past the vehicles and also people pulling out of the junction are taking a risk pulling out of it as they can't see properly.

    The issue of parking on footpaths is increasing forcing pedestrians onto the road, often with children and push chairs.

    The problem with vehicles parking on the footpath remains, either obstructing pedestrians or blocking the view of motorists entering the road.
