A Low Tree Branches problem has been found
Reported via desktop in the Trees affecting highways or pavements category anonymously at 16:45, Tue 8 August 2023
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4871527.
Tree on green outside no 54 is colossal and has very low branches. Customer is only 4'8" and they are touching her head. Husband has Parkinsons and lady next door uses a stick - they find it difficult to manoeuvre round the branches which stretch over the footpath. Ideally she would like the tree to be reduced in height and width

I reported this a few years ago and it was fixed on that occasion.I really would ask that this time it is seen to soon my husband has health problems and has to miove out of way of tree neighbour walks with a crutch.I regard this now as a health and safety problem i.e the tree is covering lamp post people walking past in darkness hours

Here we are at October 7th 2023 and the tree has still not been paired back and height lowered .The grass cutter driver had to bend over in order to cut the grass this week. This was first reported 8th Aug.

Well there are no leaves on the tree now so the branches are not weighted down but would still like the job done With the storm I realise they are busy but!.

There is no imminent danger from the tree due to winter and no leaves weighting the tree down.HOWEVER it needs to be cut back before next season for safety conditions.I do appreciate the pressure they are under. Is there an average wait for request regarding work requests?

Lets just keep on waiting perhaps the new season may bring about something but it must be dealt with before this tree comes into full bloom
