Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4815301.

Requires a sign saying merge in turn as people correctly using the filter lane off the roundabout are being blocked and threatened with physical violence for trying to merge

  • Thank you for brining your concerns to our attention.

    As 'Merge in turn' signs are not prescribed by the DFT for permanent road layouts, we cannot install them here.

    These signs can only be used for traffic approaching temporary lane closures.

    There is sufficient signage and road marking warning that the dual carriageway ends ahead. Also the Highway Code advises to merge in turn where it is safe to do so.
