Front door blocked, cannot exit property.

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4799997.

Grain started working on Robert Street this morning, however we were given no notice about this until this morning when the workmen posted a notice through the door just as they started work. They have completely blocked the front door causing a serious hazard if there were a fire in the kitchen. The noise is unbearable and causing both my dog and myself serious distress. If we has been given more notice we could have made alternative arrangements but no notice was given. I have tried contacting Grain by phone but they are not answering and just leaving me on hold.
