Over grown tree

Tree over grown with hangover and touching property, I’ve been advised from police to get tree down or cut right back.. I’ve had issues with trespassing thru the night ( people using garden as a short cut from pub to estate and also antisocial behaviour from garages which backs on to garden ) the tree as well as touching house blocks all views from upstairs which isn’t ideal when you hear people on your property at night.
