Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4751442.

So Water utility puts a new manhole cover in, but NCC leaves a huge sunk hole attached to the perimeter of the manhole cover repair….. needs seen to be believed, I would add a photo but I will save you the embarrassment NCC as this is an utter disgrace!!

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
