Deep Ridge in center of road, my child’s bike wheel got jammed into this and needed hospital attention

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4591209.

Deep ridge running down center of road, very poor attempt of repair months ago. My child got seriously hurt falling off bike due to this, serious risk to any cyclist Get this sorted ASAP!

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
